The Morris Christmas was wonderful this year as usual. We had so much fun caroling, shopping, EATING, having get togethers (any excuse for a party) , and loving being together.
Our youngest daughter Kristy is a JV Cheerleader for Arlington High School. We have been going to her football games to watch her cheer. She is so enthusiastic and her smile could light up the whole world. Takes me back to memories of high school.. Crystal and Lenna joined us. Skip introduced Lenna to Cheetos, much to her mother's dismay!!!
Everyone tells you how fantastic it is to have grandchildren! Wow! What a powerful love to see one of your own children become a parent. This new infant that has come into our family is so perfect and such an incredible joy! We are in love with this perfect new spirit from Heavenly Father.

Our new terrific little family! They are great parents and doing an incredible job with this new precious baby! They are incredibly happy to have him here. It is a wonder as I watch my Kevin be one of the most attentive daddy's I have ever seen. He ranks right up there with his own Dad!
Our first grand baby is born to our son Kevin and his beautiful wife Monique!! He is ETHAN KADE MORRIS!!! 6 LBS. 14OZ. and 19 inches long. He is so beautiful and has a combination of both their good looks! He was born Sunday Sept. 12th at 3:20am. Yes, AM, he kept all of his extended family up all night to welcome him into the world. What a beautiful new spirit from our Heavenly Father!!! This is the best!!!
Kevin and Monique are expecting our first Grandbaby in September. We had such a fantastic time celebrating the sooon to be new arrival in our family!! We had a duckie theme , and what a great party with family and friends.
We had a shower for Kevin and Monique July 31St. Kindy and Kaylee presented Kevin with a tool belt complete with all the things he would need for "Daddy Diaper Duty!" They even wrote him a poem about how to do all the things he will need to do as a daddy.
This year we returned to Jana and Loren's house for a great 4th of July Block Party!! Jana's house was the "cotton candy" house and Kevin and Kristy got really good at making it! We had a great bar-b-q, played games, and had awesome fireworks. They are still legal in Lakewood so we had a blast firing them off and Dejah is an excellent picture taker while everyone is doing sparklers. It is one of my favorite parts of the 4th. I love you all!
The rest of our vacation was wonderful. On the 24th we celebrated Grandpa Pitt's 77th birthday, we got to tour the Joseph Smith Memorial Museum and Temple Square in Salt Lake City, and we ended with the Pitt Family Reunion on the 26th. It was a great week of events, love and getting reaquainted with our family and loved ones. What a beautiful family we have and we are glad to be part of a grander family also!! What a heritage that we have!
It is a bitter sweet moment when you drop off your missionary to the MTC. We are thrilled that he has chosen to serve the Lord for two years, yet we are missing him already! He is so pumped up and ready to serve. We all got a moment to hug him goodbye and off he went. The girls quickly had to go shopping to make him a care package to deliver to the MTC. What a great day!!
On our first day in Provo at Lori's house, Skip wanted to take the kids fishing. Jeff decided that he wanted foil dinners and roasted corn for his last dinner with the family. We drove up past Bridal Veil Falls to Vivian Camp ground, and we had a blast! Skip bought Will his own "Spiderman" fishing pole which was sure to bring him luck. Skip taught them how to cast and eventually even Kindy and Kaylee put the worm on the hooks!!! We had delicious foil dinners and corn for dinner. Grandma and Karen did the cooking. Unfortunately these fish were good at taking the bait and not getting caught!
What a great day as we had family and friends over after Jeff's Farewell. Jeff spoke in church and our whole Pitt extended family sang a choir number together, "In the Hollow of Thy Hands", then Skip was asked to bear his testimony. Jeff will be set apart as a missionary early Monday morning the 21st and then we are off to Utah to take him to the MTC. We will miss Jeff so much, but we are sooo proud of his decision to serve the Lord.
Yeah!! Out of Middle School and on to High School!!! Kristy our youngest has graduated from 8th grade. She is excited to start her High School Career. She has already made the JV Cheerleading Squad and Treble Choir at Arlington High School! She is ready to move on. Only 4 more years of Seminary for Skip and I too! ( A grand total of 22 years of Seminary!!)
What a great and exciting time for Kaylee. She is out of High School!!! She has been ready for collage for a while. We are so proud of her! After graduation we all got together to go to BJ's Restaurant for dinner She can't wait to start RCC in the Fall majoring in ASL sign Language interpreting.Post Options
It was such a thrilling day to go to the Los Angeles Temple with Jeff for the first time. He will be reporting to the MTC on June 23rd, to serve a mission in the Denver, Colorado, South Mission. What a beautiful day we had. Mike and Dejah, Grandpa and Grandma Pitt, and Aunt Jana went with us,what a blessing. My heart is so full as I see Jeff prepare to serve the Lord. He is so ready.
We had a great time at Mike and Dejah's for a bar-b-q and pool party. It was a beautiful day and great company!!! We love getting together to swim, play games, "Rock Band" of course, and hanging out to eat!!
Our precious little Lenna was blessed by Skip on March 28th. She is our sweet baby from our "adopted" daughter Crystal Gray and her husband Aaron. We had a tremendously special day with the Gray family and Crystal's sweet mom and grandmother and family. We get to be "adopted" grandparents and have a special new love in our lives.
The Morris' got together to say good-bye to Beau and Christine. They are moving to Miami!

Will got to try Grandma Pitt's candy tree for the first time at our reunion this year. Easter was awesome as we gathered a huge group for an easter egg hunt!!

We had a great time on New Year's Eve!!! Family and friends joined us to ring in the New Year. We loved having Sheryl and Russell, Heidi and Matt and their precious grandchildren Jackson and Daphne. Our great friends the Hyucks, Grandma and Grandpa Pitt, Aunt Carol, Dante and our own Mike and Dejah. Kristy had her friend Lauren join us too. Good food, lots of games, laughter and fun!!!
